Gerard Butler's "Motor City" Shut Down

Disappointing Gerard Butler fans everywhere, production on his upcoming film "Motor City" has been shut down before even beginning.

A spokesperson for the action flick tells Deadline, "Faced with the realities of a very short post-production schedule and complicated visual and special effects, the producers have decided to push back production on Albert Hughes’ 'Motor City.' The circumstances surrounding this project made it impossible to meet the firm March 31st delivery date without compromising the quality of the film."

Filming was to start on September 17th, but the backers quickly realized the time crunch. The movie had been in pre-production already after learning that Warner Bros. release date would only allow 12 weeks of post-production.

Reportedly, the producers hope to still go forward with the project in the future.
