One day after leading the Pledge of Allegiance at the Democratic National Convention, Gabby Douglas has announced plans to pen an "inspirational memoir" which will be published in December.
In the book, titled "Grace, Gold and Glory, My Leap of Faith," the two-time Olympic Gold Medalist will document her journey to the 2012 Summer Olympics in London and how her Christian faith and loved ones helped her through the tough times.
After sharing the news, Gabby told People, "Even before I competed in the Olympics, I always wanted to write a book," adding that she hopes when people flip through the pages they will "think anything is possible."
Revealing that the book "will also be about how much my family and I have overcome during our journey. It hasn't been easy," Miss Douglas explained, "My mom and I want to let people know about us and how we overcame hard times."
