Looking to inspire the next generation of athletes, Gabby Douglas attended a special event for the Citi Field Kids Program in New York City today (August 23).
The Olympic gold medal gymnast looked thrilled as she addressed the youngsters who were all listening to her every word intently.
In a recent interview, Gabby told of a time during the Olympics right after she struck gold when she finally learned what it meant to be worldwide celebrity.
During a trip out of Olympic Village to get some ice cream, Douglas ended up getting derailed by autograph seekers, and found it difficult to break away. “I just wanna go get some ice cream, and people crowd around me, and I can’t get my ice cream!” she exclaimed.
