Bondage on the Runways

In 2009, your little black dress better be more than just a little black dress. The runways for Spring 2009 was all about bondage frocks and dresses, much like a super hero kind of trend. Christopher Kane, Thakoon, Alexander Wang, and Rodarte all represented the bondage style.

Rag and Bone created the ultimate bondage look in a cocktail dress. This one shoulder sheath dress has dupioni panels in a grey that is form fitting and knit. This dress is straight off the runway for spring. $495 at Nordstroms.

Narciso Rodriguez also was loving the bondage style and in bright colors. This slim fitting dress contrasts perfectly with a coral pink and black. It has a sweetheart neckline that looks totally luxurious. And because it is Narciso you can expect this gorgeous dress to be high priced at $1,950.

We love Stella McCartney’s style of bondage. Her little black dress has high halter straps as well as off the shoulder sleeves. It is super sexy and we won’t be surprised if we see this lbd on a celeb.
Phillip Lim’s tiered fold skirt has brought a new look on the table and we love it. It’s asymmetrical pattern and banded waist with a v shape cut out is adorable. This look could be dressed up or dressed more casual and is for $395.
