With her new movie "Dark Shadows" set to hit theaters on May 11th, Eva Green pitched in on promotions by landing the cover of the June 2012 issue of InStyle UK magazine.
The 31-year-old French actress looked elegant in a white ensemble with gold accents for the front page shot while talking about being pigeon-holed when it comes to roles and her averseness towards Twitter and diets.
Highlights from Miss Green's interview are as follows. For more, be sure to pay a visit to InStyle UK!
On not getting into the world of Twitter self-promotion:
"Why would I do that? It's masochistic. It's not healthy if you become very self-conscious as an actor."
On the frustrating of being pigeon-holed by her looks when it comes to landing roles:
"It's so boring to play the girlfriend. Most of the women in film are there to be beautiful to the man. It's quite hard to find a ballsy or complex character. So the roles I've taken are those. Lot's of people put me in the dark category."
On refusing to diet because it depresses her:
"Before my first film, the casting director asked me to lose some weight, saying, 'On screen you're going to look much fatter.' I started drinking soups and then I was like, "I can't do it, I can't go on a diet. It's hell, it makes you very depressed - food is so important to me. I couldn't go on."
