Grey’s Anatomy: 10 Emmy Nominations

Racking up an extremely impressive 10 Emmy nominations, the hit drama series Grey's Anatomy will head into the start of its new season with some strong momentum. The breakdown for the individual nominations is as follows:

* Sandra Oh - Best Supporting Actress
* Katherine Heigl - Best Supporting Actress
* Chandra Wilson - Best Supporting Actress
* T.R. Knight - Best Supporting Actor
* Kate Burton - Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series
* Elizabeth Reaser - Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series

In addition to individual awards, the entire cast and crew has received the nod for the following categories:

* Outstanding Casting
* Outstanding Drama Series
* Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup
* Outstanding Special Visual Effects

While it appears that Grey’s is a sure win for the Best Supporting Actress, with 3 separate nominations, we're cautioning any premature celebration, as recent years have shown that public expectations are not always in line with the academy voters.
