She’s always a welcome sight, and last night (October 8) Elle Fanning brought her big smile to the New York Film Festival premiere of her new flick “Ginger and Rosa.”
The “We Bought a Zoo” actress was joined by director Sally Potter and costars Alessandro Nivola and Alice Englert at Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Center for the swanky occasion.
Elle’s performance in the film has earned her rave reviews, and Variety Associate Editor Jon Weissman is already starting Oscar buzz for the youngster.
He gushed, “She delivers a performance that I would put in a tier with the finest lead female efforts I've personally seen this year. That's a group that alphabetically includes Marion Cotillard (Rust & Bone), Keira Knightley (Anna Karenina), Emmanuelle Riva (Amour), Quvenzhane Wallis (Beasts of the Southern Wild), Naomi Watts (The Impossible) and Michelle Williams (Take This Waltz).”
