Diane Lane Says "Good Morning America"

Flashing that infamous smile for her fans, Diane Lane was spotted in New York City early this morning (October 5).

The “Must Love Dogs” beauty happily greeted the crowd that had gathered outside of ABC Studios ahead of her appearance on “Good Morning America.”

Miss Lane is currently promoting the upcoming based-on-a-true-story flick “Secretariat” in which she portrays Penny Chenery, a woman who is the owner of a racehorse and a female empowerment symbol.

Of playing Chenery, Diane insists, “Penny Chenery was not, shall we say, a barking dog. She wouldn't let anyone put her on the defense; she was a great example of grace under pressure. And she and I are both, I think, our fathers' daughters, and we want to make good on the family business.”

“Secretariat” hits theaters this Friday, October 8.
