He’s been busy doing promotion for his new film “Ondine” and Colin Farrell says it was tough getting the right Irish accent for his role.
The “Phone Booth” stud told press that although he was born and raised on the Emerald Isle, the American influence he’s had has detracted from his natural tongue.
"I spent most of my childhood watching ‘TJ Hooker’ and ‘CHiPS’ so I was more familiar with an American accent than an Irish one."
"This film was one of the hardest accents I've had to do especially because I felt a national obligation not to f--- it up. The local [Irish] papers said I did 'all right.'"
