Chris Klein Opts for Extended Rehab Treatment

Desperate to clean himself up and stay out of the slammer, Chris Klein has opted to spend a little extra time in rehab after finishing his 30-day treatment plan.

Having checked into Cirque Lodge in Utah following his second DUI arrest, the "American Pie" actor's rep Jaime Primak tells People magazine, "Chris, along with his support team, has decided to extend his treatment."

Klein's rep adds, "He is doing fantastic and is optimistic about his future. He thanks everyone for their continued support."

As previously reported by Gossip Center, Chris - who at one point was engaged to actress Katie Holmes - checked into Cirque Lodge on June 21 after being pulled over and arrested by California Highway Patrol while registering three times the legal limit during a nighttime cruise on June 16.
