Man Charged with Breaking Into Celion Dion's Home
Illegally entering the property only to make himself at home, police say a man not only broke into Celine Dion's Canadian estate on Monday (September 5), but he helped himself to food and a bath as well!
According to the report filed by Laval authorities, the suspect, 36-year-old Daniel Bedard, was taken into custody after he invaded the Quebec mansion of the "My Heart Will Go On" singer - who was out of town with her husband and three children at the time.
Bedard allegedly gained access to the home through a garage door opener he found in one of the couple's unlocked cars and, once inside, he "opened the water faucets, was pouring a nice warmish bath" and even managed to eat some pastry that was in the fridge," explained police spokesman Franco Di Genova.
Despite the intruder's claims of being a friend of the family, he was charged with breaking and entering, auto theft and causing property damage. Bedard is due back in court on November 21.
