Richard Gere On The Auction Block
If you have always wanted to have lunch with Richard Gere, you just got one step closer to your dream. The "Pretty Woman" actor is offering fans the chance to have a private lunch with him in an online auction.
The Robert F. Kennedy Memorial human rights organization is the beneficiary of over a hundred lots being auctioned off. Lunch with Gere at his still-to-be-opened restaurant in New York City is currently fetching around $13,500, but bids are still coming in.
Gere’s lunch date isn’t the most sought after lot on the auction, though. That honor goes to former Federal Reserve chairman Alan Greenspan who is offering breakfast or tea with himself and his journalist wife Andrea Mitchell at Washington's Four Seasons hotel. The highest bid is currently $45,000.
Other amazing lots include a walk on part in "Desperate Housewives," a lunch date with Robin Williams, a day with skater Tony Hawk, a guided tour of Martha Stewart's New York gardens and a meeting with William Shatner on the set of his hit show "Boston Legal."
Kennedy’s widow Ethel Kennedy is organizing the auction. It runs on CharityBuzz.com through April 6th, and new items are being added each day.
