John Ingle of "General Hospital" Passes Away at Age 84

After two decades of being a television staple on ABC’s “General Hospital,” it is with sadness to report that John Ingle has passed away.

A rep from the show confirmed the news to People magazine, stating that Ingle was 84-years-old when he died on Sunday (September 16).

Taking to social media pages to celebrate his life, John’s family wrote, “Father, Husband, Grandan, Great Grandan, Brother, Uncle, Friend, Teacher, Inspirer, Mentor: May You Soar with the Angels. You will forever hold a special place in the deepest corners of our hearts."

Executive producer of “General Hospital,” Frank Valenti, tweeted out his condolences, writing, “With great sadness, I share the news of John Ingle's passing. We love him and will miss him. John will always be a part of the #GH family."

Before getting into his acting career, Ingle first took a job teaching at Hollywood High School and Beverly Hills High. He was also actively involved with Habitat for Humanity.
