Tyra Banks Moves To NY: For A Man?

When the news broke back in June that Tyra Banks was moving production of her daily talk show from the west coast to New York, no specific reasons were given by Banks' representative. What made the announcement even more mysterious was that there was no word mentioned about Tyra’s Americas Next Top Model show; although we are now hearing rumors that it might also be finding new digs on the east coast.

Reports are now coming out from insiders mentioning that there is a new man in Tyra’s life, and the lucky gentleman according to the New York Daily News is John Utendahl. According to insiders, John has three qualities that have really helped their relationship grow.

First, as the owner of a financial investment firm, he is on stable footing when compared to his new girlfriend’s portfolio. Second, John is certainly not vertically challenged at 6’3”, and for Tyra, not getting a kink in her neck when constantly looking down is a big plus. And finally, he lives in New York, which seems to be where Tyra wants to be.

In past interviews, Tyra has said that her success in modeling and as a television producer/host of America's Next Top Model has created obstacles on her path to finding love. She mentioned that the “more successful she get(s), the less interested guys are.”

Hopefully, this will be a changing point both personally as well a professionally for Tyra as she tries to harness “the energy and rhythm of the city for the show”.
