Stepping out for bonding time with mom, Selena Gomez was spotted out for lunch at Whisper Cafe in Encino on Sunday (June 7).

Showing off a cute new hairdo, the Disney darling kept fans up to date, tweeting, “Spending the day with momma!”

Meanwhile, Miss Gomez recently explained a Twitter post that read "Tough times don't last. Tough people do" following confusion about the message.

"No specific reason," the 16-year-old told People magazine. "We're going through lots of things right now, it was a really wonderful saying, and I hoped my fans could get something out of that, because they might be going through something as well."
