Growing up to be quite the role model, Selena Gomez has officially been named as UNICEF’s youngest ambassador ever.
The “Wizards of Waverly Place” star has been chosen to “use her voice, recognition and commitment to children’s issues to fund raise and educate” on behalf of the organization.
It is hoped the 17-year-old actress can reach out to and engage young people in the global mission to save lives.
Gomez has just recently landed in Ghana, visiting the West African country on her first official field-mission as an Ambassador.
