Robert Pattinson: Future Rock Star

He’s already secured his financial well-being for years to come thanks to his “Twilight” gig, and now Robert Pattinson is looking to break into the world of rock stardom.

According to a report, the “New Moon” stud has been offered a recording contract from none other than music mogul Simon Cowell.

However, Robert is thinking it over, given the fact that he’s not interested in becoming the next bubblegum pop sensation. An insider told press, “Robert is reluctant to be turned into a pop star — and takes his music very seriously. He is a bit wary of signing up with Cowell who is, of course, associated with X Factor and pop.”

In a past interview, Pattinson explained, “I write songs, that’s true. I’ll record a few tracks as soon as I finish the promotion for the movies, but before I won’t to do anything. I don’t want to release an album which has a sticker on it saying, ‘By the vampire of Twilight,’ on it. If the record is released one day there won’t be my name or my picture on the cover. Everyone would be biased. No one would listen to it. Before I was famous I would have loved to perform in bars and pubs. But this isn’t possible anymore.”
