Rihanna Rep Denies Hartnett Romance

Despite recent sightings together and reports of a nightclub canoodling session, Rihanna and Josh Hartnett are denying reports that they're a couple.

As reported previously by the Gossip Girls, the Umbrella singer and Pearl Harbor actor were spotted at New York club Pink Elephant on Friday, leading to talk of a possible coupledom.

But sources close to the situation insist "the pair were just enjoying a night out with friends after meeting for the first time earlier in the day."

The two are said to have hit the club after Rihanna performed co-hosting duties on the MTV show TRL, which featured Hartnett as a guest.

To cap it all of, a spokesman for Rihanna has already issued a statement to press, which simply read, "They're not a couple."
