Rihanna and Jay-Z: NYE Taping Tandem

Having just returned to the States following a promotional trip to Europe, Rihanna got right to work as she teamed up with Jay-Z at Rockefeller Center n New York City on Saturday evening (December 19).

Braving the cold and snowy weather, the duo ran through a performance of "Run This Town" - which was taped for airing on New Year’s Eve with Carson Daly on NBC (December 31) from 10-11PM ET.

Unable to attend the annual NYE show, Rihanna happens to be booked to play her first Middle East show on the West Lawn of Abu Dhabi's Emirates Palace on December 31st.

"With a superstar like Rihanna leading the countdown to 2010, this concert promises to be the hottest ticket in town on the biggest night of the year," said John Lickrish, managing director of Flash, of Rihanna's scheduled appearance.

"We're thrilled to host her regional debut and promise concert-goers a hugely entertaining, all-night New Year's Eve party on a scale they've never seen before."
