Pete Doherty Lands in France with His Lady

He’s accustomed to a travel-intensive lifestyle, and yesterday afternoon (September 3) Pete Doherty was spotted landing in the South of France.

Joined by his new girlfriend, the Babyshambles frontman looked to be in good spirits as he strolled past the paparazzi carrying his suitcase and a guitar.

In related news, Doherty recently told press that his 30th birthday hit him so hard that he contemplated taking his own life.

“I had this bash in Paris and it was an absolute disgrace. I just made a bit of an idiot out of myself. We had a right old knees-up. I don’t even know exactly what happened but I ended up trying to throw myself off the top of the hotel. I wasn’t happy at all about being 30.”

He continued, “I don’t normally drink that heavily. But I went through a bottle of vodka. They presented me with this cake and I pushed it in the chef’s face who’d just made it for me. Then the chef and the security guards were chasing me around. I think I escaped unscathed. It was hilarious. I had a great night.”
