Patrick Swayze: Weekend Memorial

Ready to pay their respects, family and friends will be holding a private memorial service for Patrick Swayze over the weekend.

Taking place on Sunday (October 4) at Sony Studios in Los Angeles, those close to the actor will say their farewells after he passed away from pancreatic cancer at the age of 57.

,p>Trying to raise money for causes close to Patrick’s heart, organizers of the event are seeking donations towards both the Patrick Swayze Pancreas Cancer Research and the Stand Up to Cancer oragnization.

The Los Angeles-based memorial follows a previously held tribute in Lake Lure, North Carolina a few weeks back.
