Orlando Bloom Impresses the Dalai Lama
“Pirates of the Caribbean” actor Orlando Bloom took some time out of his busy schedule to visit Patan, Nepal, this week. He was spotted taking some touristy photographs and enjoying a bit of sightseeing.
One of Nepal’s most famous landforms, Mount Everest, is the subject of a documentary that Bloom was involved in. And the Dalai Lama reportedly loves it.
The “Elizabethtown” actor played the part of narrator on the new DVD “Everest: A Climb for Peace.” It has been billed as “a socially relevant documentary about peace, war, and the human spirit.”
And apparently the Dalai Lama has lavished praise for the project. He called the new DVD “a tremendous achievement.” Not bad coming from one of the world’s most famous gurus, eh?
