Nicole Richie and Joel Madden: Post-Christmas Shoppers

Teaming up for a post-holiday retail outing, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden were all smiles as they ventured around Los Angeles on Saturday afternoon (December 26).

The former "Simple Life" star and her Good Charlotte rocker beau smiled and laughed amongst one another, picking up a few purchases at the James Perse boutique.

Of the shopping session, Miss Richie tweeted, "Looking for an obnoxiously glitterific dress to wear on New Years Eve at @lavolasvegas. Who's coming?"

Meanwhile, it sounds as if Nicole and family had quite the enjoyable Christmas, as she wrote to her Twitter followers, "Christmas Eve, a VERY big deal at our house. friends, family, presents, gotta start prepping NOW. Here we go...."

Dishing out a holiday rhyme a short while later, Nicole added, "Jingle Bells, Batman smells, Robin laid an egg! Bat mobile lost his wheel and Joker got away, HAY!"
