Natasha Richardson: Organ Donor

She passed away last week in a tragic skiing accident, but Natasha Richardson continues to benefit the world around her in spite of her passing.

The late actress’ family requested that her organs be donated to patients in need in a decision consistent with Richardson’s well-known nature for giving.

A family friend told press, "She spent so much time fighting the stigma of AIDS; someone like that would naturally donate her organs. At least by donating her organs something good could come out of [the tragedy]."

Another friend of the family reported, "Liam is doing okay. It takes a while to absorb this. But he says the family needs to move forward. They will take it one step at a time."
