Last night was a big night for the Apple store in SoHo, NYC. The retail outlet was one of the screening venues for the Wes Anderson short film Hotel Chevalier.
Chevalier is the prequel to The Darjeeling Limited, a new movie starring Owen Wilson and Natalie Portman. But the big news is Portman’s nude scene, a highlight for many in the less-than-twenty minute movie.
Jason Schwartzman also stars in both the short and feature films. The Post Chronicle describes the film as, “This wistful and maudlin short story offers some background to the main attraction as Schwartzmann and Portman play a pair of estranged lovers who square up to each other in the sumptuous surroundings of a Parisian hotel room.
Hotel Chevalier drew throngs of people, actually forming a line around the block outside the SoHo store. Some enthusiasts showed up at 3pm, a full six hours before the screening actually began.
