Nashville Gears Up For CMA Awards

Tonight is a big night for Country Music. The Sommet Center in Nashville, Tennessee will play host to the Country Music Association Awards this evening.

Last night at the BMI Building, the BMI Songwriters honors were handed out as a gearing up for tonight’s festivities. And Willie Neslon won the Icon Award.

And he seemed to be thoroughly enjoying the event. He told press, "Lots of friends here, old friends, new friends. It's quite an honor."

Carrie Underwood also said her piece about women getting a chance to accept the Entertainer of the Year Award. "I'm not even close to being nominated for Entertainer of the Year, and I shouldn't be. But there should be a woman that wins it at some point, so we're working on that."
