With the worldwide appeal of their hit show “Heroes,” it’s no wonder Milo Ventimiglia and Masi Oka got such a warm welcome during their in-store appearance in Sydney Australia earlier today (September 2nd).
Hundreds of fans converged on the JB Hi-Fi store for a chance to meet the two prime time studs, who both looked slick in their matching black suits.
In a recent interview, Oka (who was named both coolest geek and one of America’s sexiest men) told press that being considered a geek isn’t such a bad thing after all.
“For me to be a geek is to be human. To be a geek means you're passionate about something, whether that's comic books, water, architecture or whatever, and I think that shows our individuality and who we are as humans. I'd rather be passionate about something than apathetic about everything.”
Meanwhile, Mr. Ventimiglia confessed that he didn’t quite understand the whole fascination with autographs. “If I've ever been a fan of a musician or an athlete or an actor I think even when I was kid I never asked for autographs. I'd just walk up and say, ‘Thank you, I like your work,’ and walk away. The kind of clamoring for that celebrity I've never really understood so much. You've got to wonder what The Beatles must have felt like.”
