Miley Cyrus Talks About Her Faith

She was turning heads everywhere she went on Oscar night. And yesterday Miley Cyrus was spotted out and about in Hollywood maintaining her status as one of Tinseltown’s cutest teen stars.

The “Hannah Montana” actress was seen toting around both a huge Louis Vuitton purse and what looked like a laptop bag as she sported an orange print top, white cardigan sweater and some hip-hugging jeans.

And despite her overwhelming success, Miley has managed to stay out of trouble, something she attributes to her Christian faith. She recently revealed to press how her parent’s traditional values and her family’s emphasis on God keeps her on the straight and narrow.

“Some people don’t have a family to fall back on, like I have, and that’s when something greater that even that comes in – and that’s faith and that’s what I have for me. That’s what keeps me strong. I think a lot of these people do have Christian families but they’re not seeing that they’re so much greater than the materialistic things right now – like parties.”

And Cyrus cites her mom as the main disciplinarian in her life. “They’re protective for sure. My mom is more strict than my dad. You want to keep your close circle of friends. And sometimes my mom is saying, ‘I have a bad vibe about this person. She needs to hang out with you when I’m around just to keep you safe.”
