Miley Cyrus: Going Stag at the Oscars

While she’s lucky in love with Australian actor Liam Hemsworth, Miley Cyrus will be going solo at next months’ Academy Awards.

The “Hannah Montana” babe, who will be presenting one of the night’s Oscars, told press she’s happy to go stag. “Liam’s a pretty low-key guy anyway, he doesn’t mind not going.”

According to her rep, “She’s taking her mom, Tish,” which makes sense given that Miley and Liam have tried to keep their relationship casual.

Miley explained, “We’ve decided that any type of relationship that we have, we will always just keep it very down low. First and foremost, we are best friends, so that’s what I tell people all the time. All you want is for one person to say, ‘You did a really good job today.’ Or, ‘You look really beautiful,’ or, ‘I was really moved by that.’ You just want one person to make you feel good about something you’re doing.”
