Mariah Carey Lights Up the Big Apple

After a free concert on Good Morning America earlier in the day, Mariah Carey headed on over to the Empire State Building for a very special occasion.

The “Touch My Body” singer was there attending a lighting ceremony in which the tower is to shine lavender, pink and white in honor of her new album “E=MC2”.

As previously reported by Gossip Girls, “EMC2" made its debut at the top of the national charts – the record tying sixth time that such a feat has happened for Carey.

SoundScan reports the album sold 463,000 copies in the U.S. during its first week in stores - making it Carey's biggest sales week ever.
