Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon: NYC Dinner Date

Taking advantage of their time in New York City, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon enjoyed a romantic dinner date last night (January 6) at the swanky Japonais restaurant.

The “Touch My Body” songstress and her hunky hubby looked to be having a marvelous time as they walked from the restaurant to their car, laughing and smiling as a bodyguard shielded them from the rain with an umbrella.

And the latest in the family expansion rumor mill is that Mariah and Nick are hoping to get pregnant soon. A source close to the couple told press, “They are trying,” noting that Carey isn’t preggers just yet.

Mariah sparked pregnancy rumors late last year when she refused a glass of champagne during an interview with Ellen DeGeneres and then later scrapped her plans for a world tour.
