Madonna Granted Court Custody Victory
It’s been a very public divorce and a London judge has now given Madonna temporary permission to allow her two sons to move with ex-husband Guy Ritchie to the Big Apple.
The couple, who were spotted out with the kids for Kabbalah yesterday (January 31), announced that they were splitting in October after many reports that Madonna may have had a fling going on with New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez.
The UK Evening Standard has reported that custody will be worked out and made permanent in the next 14 days.
"Everything is going to be resolved in the next couple of weeks," a source close to the negotiations told the newspaper. "Everything is going well. It's pretty amicable at the moment. Things are progressing.”
The Standard has stated that Rocco and David will likely split visits between London and New York, but go to school stateside. Madonna is to go on her European tour this summer and Ritchie may have their sons during this period.
According to Madonna’s lawyers, they believe that Rocco, 8, and adopted David Banda, 3, should not be separated from their 12-year-old half-sister Lourdes, who Madonna had with Carlos Leon.
A source stated to the UK Sun, “Guy will still see his sons all the time. He said, ‘It doesn’t matter where they live-they will always have the hearts and souls of Englishmen. Ritchie is ‘gutted, but resigned.’”
