Lily Allen Miscarries

Only a month after announcing she was pregnant, British songstress Lily Allen has announced that she has suffered a miscarriage.

The devastating news came through a press release from Allen’s spokesperson. “We can confirm that Lily Allen has suffered a miscarriage. She and her partner Ed Simons will be making no further comment and we ask that their privacy be respected during this difficult time.”

The “Smile” singer was reportedly “thrilled” about being a mom when she announced that she was expecting, but asked for privacy as “the pregnancy is at a very, very early stage.”

Since the sorrowful news came out, fans have been flooding her MySpace page with love and support. Posts like, “I'm really sorry for your loss, my thoughts are with you,” and, “My deepest sympathy Lily. I’m really sorry to hear the bad news, hope you pick yourself up again soon,” will hopefully help Lily through this difficult time.
