Making her way around Manhattan during Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week, Leighton Meester was spotted out and about in NYC yesterday (September 16).

The “Gossip Girl” gal looked lovely as she strolled past the paparazzi after attending the Proenza Schouler Spring 2010 runway show at Milk Studios.

Prior to that, Leighton opted to attend the Phillip Lim fashion show where she hung out backstage and got an inside look at the latest trends.

New York Fashion Week has been a welcome change of pace for Miss Meester, who has been steadily working on her CW gig for the last few months.
