Lance Armstrong: Hospitalized After Injury

This past January he returned from a three-year retirement from competitive cycling, and earlier today (March 23) Lance Armstrong was hospitalized after taking a nasty spill during a bike race.

The 37-year-old 7-time Tour de France winner was riding with the Astana team in the Vuelta of Castilla and Leon race when he fell from his bike during a pile-up.

According to preliminary reports, Armstrong may have injured his collarbone in the crash that happened just 12.5 miles from the day’s finish line.

Lance was competing as part of a five-day race in Spain. On the positive side, he is expecting a child with his girlfriend Anna Hansen.
