Lady GaGa Meets the Queen of England

She’s made quite a name for herself in 2009 and Lady GaGa's year has yet another high point- she got to meet the Queen of England last night (December 7).

The “Just Dance” songstress was thrilled to meet Queen Elizabeth II following the Royal Variety Performance in Blackpool, England.

And GaGa didn’t even mind making a few adjustments to her performance in order to tone things down a bit.

She told press, "I wanted to do the suicide scene I did at the MTV Awards but I was told it wouldn't be appropriate. And not only has that been vetoed, but I have had to tone down my act generally. But all of that doesn't matter because I'm a massive fan of the Queen – I was so excited and have even been practicing my curtsy."

"When I first came up with what I was doing, I said 'Oh my f***ing God. It's fabulous, I hope the Queen likes it.'"
