Kelly Brook Almost Killed By Fishtales

Being an actress is a high paying, high stress job. For Kelly Brook, it’s also a high risk one, being that she almost died on the set of her new movie.

You may know Kelly from Smallville. Her new project, “Fishtales” finds her portraying an obstinate mermaid. Her character, Neried, falls in love with a professor at Oxford University, played by Brook’s real life fiancé Billy Zane.

There was trouble in paradise, though, when Brook had a serious mishap that could have led to her death. Her legs were strapped into her mermaid tail when she was underwater, and she ran out of breath. She recounts, "I held my breath as long as I could under water, then shot up and smacked my head on a huge Grecian column which was supposed to be part of a temple set.”

"It was quite a bang on the head. I was dazed and saw stars and there was no way I could climb out on my own. Luckily some divers rescued me, but it was very painful and quite a shock."

All is well, and Brook and Zane continue filming the movie, due out later this year.
