Katie Holmes Lands New Thriller Role

Moving forward with her theatrical career, Katie Holmes has reportedly signed on to star in a new thriller flick titled "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark".

According to Variety reports, the former "Dawson Creek" darling nabbed the role - which will begin shooting this summer in Melbourne, Australia.

The upcoming film is said to "center on a young girl who moves in with her father and his girlfriend. Soon, she discovers they are sharing the house with devilish creatures."

Katie's latest role follows the recent filming of "The Extra Man," in which she co-stars alongside Kevin Kline.
