Katie Holmes is City Chic

Up bright and early on Wednesday morning (August 20), Katie Holmes was back on the scene as she headed over to a New York City theater for “All My Sons” rehearsals.

The former “Dawson’s Creek” cutie looked city chic in a grey scoopneck long-sleeve t-shirt with jeans, a thick brown belt and flip flops.

Meanwhile, the Toledo, Ohio native, who’s married to actor Tom Cruise, claims that style wasn't always her forte –as she “wasn’t all that popular at her all-girls school because she looked out of place.”

“I was very tall, gawky and skinny,” she recently told OK! magazine. “I really focused on my school studies."

The 29-year-old adds: “In hindsight I think we missed out socially. We came out of school and it was suddenly: ‘Oh, my God! Boys!’”
