Katie Holmes Basks in Broadway Success

Following her big opening night, Katie Holmes was spotted heading back over to the theater on Friday (September 19) as she continues along with her Broadway role in "All My Sons".

While the show doesn't officially open until October 16, the cast is already underway with preview performances - and the crowd last night had nothing but kind words for the "Dawson's Creek" cutie.

"I'm so proud of her. This means so much to her," boasted hubby Tom Cruise, while his "Rain Man" co-star Dustin hoffman told press, "She should be very proud of her performance. She did a fine job."

And it's not just close friends/family heaping praise, as a NY Daily News attendee reported, "Holmes exuded the same lovable charm she did as Joey Potter on TV's Dawson's Creek. She shed the baggy T-shirts and jeans she has been sporting on the streets of New York for the past several months of rehearsals, revealing a rail-thin physique in '40s-style sundresses."
