Showing off a bangy new 'do, Katherine Heigl was spotted out at the Hotel Cafe with her rocker hubby Josh Kelley on Wednesday night (January 21).

After watching Josh preform with his band, the "Grey's Anatomy" starlet lit up a cigarette while making a few awaiting fans happy by signing autographs on her way out.

In related news, ABC recently defended their decision to renew their relationship between live Izzie and dead Denny.

"In terms of the ghost stuff, it's not a ghost, which you will learn," ABC Entertainment President Stephen McPherson told a meeting of the Television Critics' Association. "You will be surprised at how insightful and smart the story line" is for the characters and for the show's direction."
