Kate Winslet Premieres The Reader, Talks Love Scenes
Gracing the red carpet for her highly praised film "The Reader," Kate Winslet was beautiful in black at the Berlin Film Festival in Berlin, Germany on Friday (February 6).
Following a morning press conference, the Oscar-nominated actress joined co-stars Ralph Fiennes, David Dross, and director Stephen Daldry for the glitzy premiere of her new movie held at the Festival Palac.
Earlier in the day, Kate made a statement about the chatter surrounding her passionate love scenes with her young co-star in the movie.
"Quite a lot has been made of the love scenes and made of David's age and he's 18, he's a young man, he's extremely professional and he's absolutely brilliant in the film," she said.
"For me, it was all about making sure David understood exactly what was going to be happening whilst we were shooting those scenes because I've been in the position that I think Daniel was in -- really not knowing what it was going to be like, how many people would be in the room," Kate adds.
"But the truth is, at the end of the day, it is part of this job and it's a very, very important part of this love story so we just got on with it really, and dare I say it, we actually kind of had a laugh."
