Kate Winslet Can't Put Her Oscar Down
Still on cloud nine after being named best actress, Kate Winslet was spotted leaving a taping of The Oprah Winfrey show at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood on Monday morning (February 23).
The 33-year-old British beauty looked happy as she tightly grasped onto her Oscar statuette with two hands upon being led to an awaiting SUV.
As for her Academy Award for "The Reader," Winslet told the crowd on-hand last night, "I'd be lying if I haven't made a version of this speech before. I think I was probably 8 years old and staring into the bathroom mirror and this (Oscar) would be a shampoo bottle. But it's not a shampoo bottle now."
Miss Winslet added, "You just don't think that these dreams that seem so silly and so impossible could ever really come true."
