Kate Hudson's Pool Playdate with Ryder

She’s in town for the 24th Annual Miami International Film Festival, and Kate Hudson knows how to mix work and play.

The “Fool’s Gold” actress was spotted soaking up the sun by the pool at her hotel earlier today. And splashing around in the water nearby was her son Ryder.

Kate looked carefree and fun in a strapless red bikini while Ryder made the most of the kiddie pool sporting some long locks and a colorful bathing suit.

Always mindful of her motherly duties, Hudson grabbed her son an inner tube while chatting on her mobile phone (wanna bet it was Owen Wilson on the other end?).

Last month at the UK premiere of “Fool’s Gold” Kate put her foot in her mouth when she was asked about Katherine Heigl. "Who is she? Oh, that girl in 27 Dresses? I just don’t think about that stuff.”
