Kate Hudson Sets Off for Aspen Family Holiday

Ready to spend the holidays with her family, Kate Hudson was spotted bidding a friend adieu before boarding a private plane in Santa Monica on Monday (December 21).

Appearing to be in high spirits despite her recent break-up with Alex Rodriguez, the "Fool's Gold" hottie happened to be making her way out to Aspen, Colorado to join parents Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn at the family's property.

As for her split with A-Rod, a source recently told the NY Daily News, "Kate is better off without A-Rod. She had much better chemistry with Owen Wilson."

The insider adds, “Alex is such a diva. When he came to the London premiere of ‘Nine,' it was obvious he didn't like standing in the background. He''d show up late to every appearance."
