Jon and Kate Gosselin: Labor Day Apart

Ever since their split, things have gotten stranger between Jon and Kate Gosselin. And yesterday they were each spotted doing their own thing.

The “Jon and Kate Plus 8” mother loaded her suitcases into her car as she left the Homewood Suites hotel in Reading, Pennsylvania after spending the weekend away from her family.

Meanwhile, Jon casually chatted with press and paparazzi outside his $1.1 million home as he relaxed on the national holiday.

In a recent interview, he told press that his relationship with Kate was beyond repair. “Our relationship will never be fixed. I don’t trust her anymore. I was abused. I was beaten down. I’m not going back to that lifestyle.”

He continued, "She knows the truth. I wish to God, she would speak from emotions ... She's not speaking from the heart. Please -- the stuff you tell me in private should be the stuff you tell me on TV."

Jon also noted that his family is glad he’s back to his old self now that he’s no longer married. "My mom and my brothers, they say to me, 'It's so good to have the real Jon back. It's so good to have the warm, loving, kind, caring person that we knew you when you were ... before you got married.’ I've changed for her. Because I loved her ... But don't forget who you are. That's what happened to me."
