Joaquin Phoenix: In Trouble with "Two Lovers" Director
He’s been running around like a mad man claiming he’s done with acting in favor of pursuing a hip-hop career, and now Joaquin Phoenix is in hot water with “Two Lovers” director James Gray.
Gray is claiming that the “We Own the Night” actor’s antics have drawn attention away from his film and can’t understand why he’s acting like a loony.
Of Joaquin’s strange behavior on “The Late Show” James told Page Six, "It's like, Letterman was trying to get the movie out there, but the only thing that's out there now is a crazy person with a beard making a fool of himself."
Gray also noted that he’s pretty convinced the whole act is for real. "Towards the end of the movie he kept saying, 'I'm tired . . . I don't want to act anymore . . . But I must say, I've seen him in his house, and he has his own recording studio . . . if this is a hoax, then it's the most elaborate thing that I have ever seen."
