Adding more fuel to the rumor mill, Jessica Simpson was spotted out in New York City with her could-be boyfriend Billy Corgan over the weekend.

The “Come On Over” songstress looked to be in good spirits as she left the Ritz-Carlton Hotel sporting a brand new handbag that she bought at Barney’s earlier in the day.

And right behind her, trying his best to go unnoticed, was none other than the Smashing Pumpkins frontman.

According to a close friend, the two are “officially dating. She has fallen hard and is smitten.” However, Simpson’s rep has refused to comment on the budding relationship.
