Jennie Garth Strikes a Pose, Talks Personal Drama
With the new 90210 spinoff gaining momentum, Jennie Garth has once again found notoriety as her character Kelly Taylor. And yesterday she was spotted doing a promotional photo shoot for the new show.
The 36-year-old actress looked simple-yet-sexy in a conservative blue dress with a yellow belt and a pair of neutral-colored heels as she posed for the camera.
And though her life is looking altogether wonderful these days, it was quite a different story for Garth earlier this year. She told press, "I had this six months of hell. I had a sick daughter and then my father passed away, so there was a six month period in my life when I didn't think about my looks or my weight or my body or anything."
Following her successful stint on Dancing With the Stars, Jennie’s daughter Lola "got very sick and we didn't know what was wrong with her. I was basically locked in a closet with her for three months."
"It turned out to be a form of JRA [Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis] and we treated her and it's in remission. It was tough, but she's better now."
During the turmoil, Garth says she lost the fitness she’d gained during her Dancing days. "I didn't exercise or eat healthy. I had been a 27 in my jeans after Dancing With the Stars and I was so excited. But it really went back quickly. I definitely gained inches and a size."
