Jay-Z and Beyonce: Helping Haiti from London
Fresh off of their charitable endeavors, Jay-Z and Beyonce Knowles were spotted leaving the “Hope For Haiti Now: A Global Benefit For Earthquake Relief” benefit at The Hospital in London on Friday night (January 22).
With U2 members Bono and The Edge following closely behind, the supercouple strolled past paparazzi following the evening recording session.
As events are being held simultaneously around the world, the gigs main host George Clooney said of the money-raising effort, “That’s it ... just first and foremost that we can raise a lot of money. If I thought that we could all pick up shovels and go in there and not be in the way, I think a lot of people would do that.”
For those kind enough to pitch in, donations can be made online at HopeForHaitiNow.org, over the phone by calling (877) 99-HAITI, by texting the word “GIVE” to 50555 or by mail addressed to Hope for Haiti Now Fund, Entertainment Industry Foundation, 1201 West 5th St., Suite T-700, Los Angeles, CA, 90017.
